Peru needs to show its richness, grandiosity and history, says Peruvian President

It is fundamental that Peru shows its grandiosity, richness and history through the on-site museums, like the Huaca El Sol and La Luna Museum in Trujillo, said today Peru’s president Alan Garcia.

The president said that this is the sixth museum inaugurated in the last few years, together with the Museo de Chavín de Huantar and the Museo de las Tumbas Reales.

“We think it is key that Peru shows its grandiosity, its richness and history through these on-site museums,” he said during his inauguration speech.

Earlier this morning, the president Alan Garcia launched the Huaca El Sol and La Luna On-site Museum in Trujillo.

The museum has many rooms, a research center and an amphitheater with an approximate area of 62,000 square meters.

Garcia also participated in the inauguration of construction works for the National Museum of the Gran Chimu - Chan Chan, which will need a 10 million sol investment.
