SUSAN SARANDON TO VISIT MACHU PICCHU

susan sarandon Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon will visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, after her stay in the southern department of Puno, where she visited the Titicaca lake, the main attraction of this area.

The actress visited tourist attractions in Cusco and tasted dishes prepared with guinea pig and corn, saying she was impressed by the majesty of the Inca building.

Sarandon, who is in Peru to support Cusco Pone campaign, was surprised by the country's agricultural diversity, especially by the different kinds of Peruvian potatoes.

In Puno, Sarandon visited the Lake Titicaca and the indigenous community of Uros.

The 63-year-old actress, who was accompanied by Peruvian TV host Veronica Ayllon, return to Cusco yesterday since she wishes to visit Machu Picchu on Thursday April 1.

Also, Susan Sarandon had fun riding Peruvian paso horses, local press reported. Not only was she impressed with Machu Picchu and Sacsayhuaman, but also she shared moments with Chinchero's weavers and took part in an exhibition Peruvian Paso Horses.

According to El Comercio daily, the exhibition was held at Sol y Luna Hotel, in the Sacred Valley, Urubamba, where the actress and her son Miles are staying; Sarandon also rode one of these fine Peruvian horses.

Sarandon and her son also had the opportunity to play some songs with zampoñas (panflutes), an Andean instrument widely used in Latin America.

Alse she recommend to all people to visit this beautiful country as well as no just machu picchu tours, many other part of Perú.
